Frequently Asked Questions

Is Egypt safe to visit in 2026?
Yes—most visitors travel safely in 2026 when they follow common-sense precautions and local guidance. We use licensed drivers, vetted hotels and Egyptologist guides on every private tour, and we monitor local conditions so we can adjust logistics if needed.
What should I wear visiting temples in Egypt?
Wear lightweight, breathable clothing that covers shoulders and knees for respect at religious sites, plus a hat and sturdy walking shoes for uneven ground. Even in warm months bring a light layer for air-conditioned museums and early-morning starts.
How much should I tip in Egypt?
Tipping is customary: expect to tip your Egyptologist guide around USD 8–15 per person per day and drivers about USD 4–6 per person per day as a guideline. Small tips for hotel staff, boat crew and porters (a few Egyptian pounds or a dollar) are also appreciated; gratuities are not included in the tour price.
Can you go inside the Pyramids?
Entering the interior chambers of the Great Pyramid or other pyramid shafts is sometimes allowed but is subject to strict limits, extra fees and occasional closures, and this itinerary does not include interior pyramid access. If you wish to attempt interior entry, we can request it as an add-on but it cannot be guaranteed.
Can I customize this tour?
Yes—because we are a licensed Egyptian DMC (est. 1988) with on-the-ground operations, you can customize hotel tier, extend your Nile cruise nights, add premium tombs or change domestic flight times. Tell us your priorities and we’ll propose practical options that respect timing, transfers and local opening hours.
What is the best time to visit Cairo and the Nile?
The most comfortable months for Cairo and Upper Egypt are October through April when temperatures are milder and sightseeing is easier. Hurghada on the Red Sea is pleasant for most of the year, but summer (June–August) can be very hot inland—we time valley visits early in the day to avoid peak heat and crowds.

"Travelled with our two kids (8 and 12) and everything was perfectly arranged. The guide made history come alive for the children. Only minor issue was one hotel that was slightly below expectations, but overall fantastic."
